Matthew 9:27-34; Mark 6:1-6; Matthew 13:53-58, 9:35-38; Mark 6:7-13; Matthew 10:1-42; Luke 9:1-6

God chooses to do his work through us. This may seem like a strange idea since God can always do it better by himself, but he has chosen you to accomplish his will. From the very beginning of history, he called Adam and Eve to work his garden. Now at the beginning of Jesus' ministry, he calls his disciples to do what he had been doing. Jesus perfectly healed and preached, while his disciples would do it imperfectly. Yet he chose to do his work through them. He sent them out to do what they had seen him do, and he sends us out in the same way.

God has chosen to accomplish his purposes through imperfect people like you and me. This calling could paralyze us with fear; instead, it should encourage us, to know the importance we play. God sends us out to be disciples who make disciples, so let us be the ambassadors that God has made us to be.

Father God, use me for your glory today. Help me to be about your kingdom work and proclaim your kingdom message. Amen.

How is your attitude impacted by knowing God wants to work through you today?
