Acts 21:37-23:35

How comfortable are you in sharing your faith? Do you have a template or idea of what you should share? Acts 22 is a shortened version of Paul’s testimony. It provides a nice model for us to use to share our faith. Paul began by talking about who he was before placing his faith in Christ. Next, Paul spoke of when Jesus became real to him and the circumstances around which he placed his faith in Christ. Within the circumstances, he also spoke of the substance of the gospel, which is that Jesus provided the means for his sins to be washed away. Finally, Paul spoke of how Jesus changed his life.

This three-part formula: who I was before Jesus, the circumstances around which I came to place my faith in Christ and what I believed, and how Jesus changed my life provides a great way for us to share our faith. The next time you have an opportunity to engage someone in a conversation about Jesus, follow the footsteps of Paul and share your story.

Father God, thank you for how Jesus has changed my life. Help me to share with others what you have done in me. Amen.

Have you ever shared your testimony with someone? If you have not, or if it has been a while, write down the three parts of your story so you are prepared to share it.
