Acts 15:22-17:15

Paul’s ministry was focused on evangelism and discipleship. Many of his missionary journeys consisted of traveling to new cities where the gospel had never been. He would spend time in popular gathering places like synagogues and marketplaces and share Jesus with people who had never heard his name. As he traveled, he also spent time going back to cities where he had previously been to encourage those churches to keep living for Jesus. His life was spent doing things that had a direct eternal impact.

As you consider the life of Paul, how does your own life compare? Do you have evangelism and discipleship on your mind? Are there people in your life with whom you are sharing Jesus and others that you are helping to grow as followers of him? May we be people who put Christ at the center of all our relationships, as we live out what it means to be a disciple who makes disciples.

Father God, help me to spread the aroma of the knowledge of Jesus everywhere I go. Help me to share him with those who are far from him and encourage those who are already your children. Amen.

How can you more purposefully do discipleship and evangelism?
