"Up from the grave he arose!" This classic line from a hymn embodies the end of the Gospels. Jesus was crucified and rose from the dead on the third day. This extremely familiar fact is the most significant event in human history. Jesus' resurrection changes everything. It means we can experience victory over death and sin.

It means we can have life eternal. It means the message of the Bible is true. It means God is not dead. It means, like Mary, we are now to be messengers of this reality. Since, up from the grave he arose, we are to arise and live in this resurrection power.

Father God, thank you for the resurrection. Thank you that in Christ I have life. Help me to live in this resurrection life and make Jesus known to others today. Amen.

What difference should Jesus' resurrection make in your life today?
