1 Corinthians 16:1-24; Acts 19:21-20:6; Romans 1:1-32

When was the last time you shared Jesus with someone? Paul tells us that to do so is not an optional part of the Christian life, but it is an obligation. When we encounter God's grace, our automatic response should be to share this with others and to do so without shame. We may be afraid of hurting a relationship, rocking the boat, or not knowing all the answers, but whatever our concerns might be, none of them should keep us from sharing the gospel. We are responsible for sharing, but we cannot control the outcome.

Some might reject the gospel like Demetrius out of a love of money, and others might reject it like the Romans out of a love for suppressing the truth, a love of idols, a love of sex, and ultimately sin. We may face rejection, hostility, apathy, or even disgust when we share Christ. Regardless of how others respond, we must faithfully communicate Jesus because he is the only source of eternal life. So let us share Jesus with everyone because he is our life, our hope, and our peace. We should want that for everyone we meet.

Father God, help me to share your Son with others. Help me not to allow my selfish fears to keep me from sharing Jesus with those you place in my path. Amen.

What fears keep you from sharing Jesus and how can you overcome those this week?
